Conviction and passion that really shines through. Excellent set-pieces, and a breathlessness that comes into the prose. Strong and thoughtful horror"

Russel D McLean
Author of ‘Ed’s Dead’

Bringing Nightmares to Life

Dave Elliot is an independent author specialising in horror fiction. With a passion for creating spine-chilling stories, believably flawed characters, and authentic world-building that will leave you reeling, Dave's writing will take you on a journey into the darkest realms of the imagination.

Born in Berkshire in 1979, father to three beautiful children, and living with his soulmate, Amy, Dave continues to work in his other passion hospitality, and has done so since getting his first job as a kitchen porter aged 14. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of film, a deep passion for horror novels, and a genuine love of music. These obsessions often find their way into his work for those with a keen eye on an easter egg. Dave is currently working on his second novel, "The Lost Children of Darkly Hedge."

"Horror for me is the most wonderful genre, whatever the medium. Great horror has to have high stakes and genuine scares, but most importantly, it needs to have a heart. As a machine for empathy and analogy, no other genre has as much visceral power to get under your skin and live with you long after you've put it down." Dave Elliot
